Camptown Races for Harp Ensemble- PDF Download
I love cartoon classics! "Camptown Races" was featured in the Warner Bros. cartoon classic, "Henhouse Henery" (1949). You can watch it on YouTube. The character, Foghorn Leghorn, hums the majority of the song, and sings the "do-dah, do-dah" throughout the cartoon. Likewise, this harp duet, beginner-intermediate level for lever or pedal harp, allows the harpist to sing the "do-dah" sections. It is lots of fun. I doubt there are many ensemble arrangements that encourage the harpist to play and sing (but not at the same time). Enjoy!
